For 2012, California produced the most peaches in the US at 713 thousand tons which was about 73% of all US peaches. The above chart reflects the acreage and not production. Other Peach producing states include Georgia, New Jersey, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.
For 2012, California produced 344 thousand tons of freestone and about 369 thousand tons of clingstone peaches.
