In 2012, 49% of US peanuts production, in pounds, occurred in Georgia. Other peanut producing states include Alabama (13%), Florida (12%), Texas (7.5%), North Carolina (6.4%) and South Carolina (6.0%).
In 2012, the US produced over 6.7 billion pounds of peanuts and 2013 estimates are over 3.9 billion pounds.
